Jimmy Kalafatis

Kalafatis Fresh Produce is located in Shepparton Victoria in the Goulburn Valley. Kalafatis Fresh produce has been suppling Woolworths for over 50 years and that relationship started with Angelo Kalafatis. Jimmy Kalafatis is the youngest and has taken over the business from his father Angelo Kalafatis for 20 years now. Jimmy has been working for Kalafatis Fresh Produce his whole life and knows the business like the back of his hand. His father taught him a lot about the fruit industry and how important every detail is. Jimmy stands by one quote his father would always say to him " Do the right thing when doing business. If you don't, eventually you will be doing the wrong thing by your business".

Kalafatis Fresh Produce has grown a lot over the years and is one of the major suppliers for Woolworths for Pears, Apples and stone fruit. Jimmy has also branched out in growing some exclusive varieties for Woolworths such as the Papple pear.

Angelo started off with 16ha of land and now Kalafatis Fresh Produce has over 800ha of land and is continuing to grow. Jimmy works alongside his wife Doreen and 2 eldest daughters Sarah and Emily who are now the 3rd generation.
